Coriolanus (classic male art print)
This is a reproduction of Francois Pierre Joseph Celestins "Coriolanus". The Belgian artist was born in 1759 and died at the age of sixty years. This study is based on the story of Coriolanus, immortalized by William Shakespeare. Coriolanus is a legendary figure from the early history of Rome. Exiled from the city for misappropriation of public funds, he joined the enemies of his homeland and led an attack. He was persuaded by the matrons of Rome to call off his attack.
