Spartan Girls Challenging Boys (classic art print)

This is a reproduction of Edgar Degas’ 1861 masterpiece, "Spartan Girls Challenging Boys". The artist entered the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in 1855 and this work is the most important of his period of six years which ended in 1861. This period was marked by Degas’ copying pieces with a classical or mythological theme. This work is one of the originals of the period. This masterpiece is currently in the National Gallery, London.
