Severus and Caracalla (classic historical print)
This wonderful work by the French artist was created in 1769. It is a depiction of dying emperor Septimus Severus giving advice to his son and heir Caracalla. The artist died in Paris in 1805 at the age of eighty years. His work is in the Louvre, Paris.
