The Bard by Anton Huxoll (classic male art print)
This is a reproduction of Anton HuxollÂ’s "Der Barde Vor Der Konigsfamilie" of 1837. Huxoll was a German artist who died in 1840 at the age of 32 years. His work exemplifies the birth of German nationalism which was spurred by the Wars of Liberation of the early Nineteenth Century against French domination under Napoleon. This image is an idealization of German royal life in the early Middle Ages.
