This
Renaissance masterpiece was created in about 1542 by Tiziano Vecellio,
popularly known as Titian. This is a power depiction of a masculine
forerunner to the Christ, a representation that contrasts with Leonardo
and Caravaggio’s more delicate depictions. This work is currently
displayed in the Gallerie del’Accademia in Venice.
This work is 10.6 inches wide and 16 inches tall.
